Transport

Bonaire does not have public transportation and only a limited number of taxis, which can often be fully booked during the cruise season. If you’ve reserved a rental vehicle, most rental agencies on Bonaire provide complimentary pick-up services at Flamingo Airport.

We highly recommend renting a car to explore the island. If you plan to visit the National Park, consider renting a 4x4 vehicle. Be sure to book early, as rental cars are often fully booked during the high season.

Where Can I Park at Villa Mingo?

There is one parking spot available in front of the house (on the street side). Additionally, across the street, there is ample parking space available in a semi-private parking lot shared with three other villas.

Electricity

Our villa is primarily equipped with 110V outlets, with a few 220V outlets available in the kitchen.
Each bedside area features four USB ports for charging your devices. Please note that some Apple products may not charge as expected, as the adapters are not officially Apple-certified.

Scuba Diving – Cleaning and Storing Your Gear

We provide a rinse tank and a secure, lockable storage room for your diving gear. This allows you to safely store and dry your equipment overnight.

Late Checkout / Early Check-in

Check-in: 3 PM. Early luggage drop-off is available.
Check-out: 10 AM. Guests can leave luggage for later pick-up.

Please contact us a few days before your arrival or departure to check the availability of early check-in or late checkout. This is subject to availability.

Paying on Bonaire

Bonaire’s official currency is the US dollar. Credit cards are widely accepted across the island, but you may be required to show your passport or photo ID when making payments. Several banks offer 24-hour ATMs for your convenience.

Tourist Tax

All visitors to Bonaire must pay a visitor entry tax:

Adults: $75
Children (under 12 years): $10

A QR code confirming your payment is required at the airport. To save time upon arrival, we recommend purchasing the entry tax in advance via the official government website.

Nature Fee

All visitors to Bonaire aged 12 and older who use the waters of the Bonaire Marine Park or visit Washington Slagbaai National Park (including snorkelers, windsurfers, kayakers, sport fishermen, kiteboarders, etc.) are required to purchase a Bonaire Marine Park Tag.

Guests who pay the Nature Fee (both divers and non-divers) and present their tag along with a printed receipt will receive free admission to Washington Slagbaai National Park throughout the year. You can purchase the tag conveniently online.
